Well, the ball's rolling now. I saw an ad in the Prophet about a place that sounded perfect, so I owled them, and apparated up there for a viewing. It is perfect, and so I want to sign the lease. I just have to ask my mother clear up a few loose ends first.

I guess we'll see what we'll see. This is just the first step, if I take the place.

I feel like, a man my age shouldn't still be afraid of his mother and the consequences of "being naughty". I want to say, really, what can she do to me? But I know all too well what she and Father can do. Adrielle is a prime example of what happens to Dougalcaps who don't obey their masters.

And yet... the more I see of Valmai, the more I think that perhaps she might be worth it.

I'm looking forward to this Autumnal Equinox thing that's coming up. I get a day out of the shop and I get to go to Hogsmeade - I might even get to see my sister, if she's forgiven me for being an asshole yet.

Who's going to the equinox festival thingy? Is Hogwarts having its Hogsmeade weekend that weekend?

I have to go for work and man the Zounds booth, so I'll be there.

Met a girl. Father would approve.

I really like her. She's nice.

Sariah's birthday is coming up. I got her the BEST PRESENT EVER... well, short of another Granian, which of course, I couldn't give her. BUT SHE WILL LOVE ME FOR IT.

In other news, I need a date to her party. To start looking now, or to wait until the day... These are the questions, people.
